Features : This is a very tall unpierced ring cross of blue-gray granite with a central boss as a represenation of the Omphalos (navel of the earth). There are no carvings or markings on the cross itself but there is a faint inscription on the foundation base stone which appears to be in Old Gaelic. Up to the 19th. century it was known as St. Baoithin's cross.
