Fahan - Mura Cross-Slab, Co. Donegal
Location :
3.5 miles S of Buncrana on the Iveagh Peninsula, on the R238 road.
Signposted.
Features :
Superbly decorated cross slab lying at a monastery site of the
7th. century founded by St. Mura. On the west face (bottom photo) are 2 figures
faintly etched, facing the stem of the interlacings and on the west face
(top photo) a more deeply structured cross incision.
