Another thing I noticed, especially in very cold weather. Besides the fact that your fingers almost get frost bitten, the cold becomes the deadly enemy of camera shutter batteries. I went through more batteries than you could swing a cat at.

Some neighbours decided to get innovative, even trendy, dare we say it, by festooning all manner of extra lights and figures across their roofs, including whole sleighs with a full compliment of raindeer to match.!!!

Still there's always one individual who has to outdo all others bar melting the walls of the neighbours across the road with their excessive luminosity. In the pic below, this homeowner decided to set up the granddaddy of all light shows complete with gravelled carpark(on his own land),a children's playground full of light ornaments and a full set of raindeer prancing about the front lawn!!!

Its so popular that the traffic gets a bit tedious as well as congested on this narrow back road to the light show. The neighbours across the road have repeatedly complained about the noise and blinding lights and they arn't talking headlights here folks, so the owner has toned down the presentation a wattage or two but not before I got a shot in.

And if you think that show takes the biscuit, then you haven't lived in America! For sheer audacity and the burning of greenstuff into pure kilowattage, put on your best shades, take out your tanning lotion and prepare to have your eyeballs deep fried on the next page!!!
